Subject: fixing obj in RDS w/o changing matl settings

I repaired a cool object- Steve Shanks Canoma Castle. I did a completion of all textures that Canoma doesn't finish using only 1 point of view. I Moved some walls around in RDS5.5 to close the gaps where walls come together. I even made transparency maps for non square pieces to look natural. Anyhow, after adjusting in RDS5.5, now all the matireals ie image maps are stripped from the entire castle. Any advice on how to maintain matireals for OBJ in RDS when doing this? Regards, Pack

ray dream deletes materials, there's no way around it. but if your'e using p4 you can manually reset materials w/ grouping tool, save in prop folder, then edit cr2 to use maps. you must also remap uv coordinats exactly the same as before importing into rds. i recomend steve cox uv mapper. then paste original texture onto new uv map. save the new map, and done. if your'e not using p4,sorry i could not help. good luck ;-)
