Hehe, movie model Challenge. My challenge is fairly hard. My challenge is to create a model and texture that looks like Judy Garland. Hair, clothing, whatever is no required, but could help ^_^

Judy Garland from when...Wizard of Oz or A Star is Born??

Either. Whicever era ya choose. I think pulling off the later years (ala Star, Nuremburg, etc.) would be harder. I would love to (someday) do an entire 3D model of all the characters and set of Judgement and Nuremburg. Ha! It'd put Ted Turner and his damn finger paints out of business! But whichever era you choose. As for the Oz one, I've spent a year on a pair of Ruby Slippers. I thought it'd be easy, but I'm designing them based on the Christie Auction Diagram I have a copy of - so 2,500 a shoe has proven to be a nightmare :) But the challenge - it's up to you. I don't care what era or decade. The challenge is to make a 3D model. To me she is one of the more underappreciated performers - I mean, I've seen 3D Elvis's, Marilyn Monroe's - Monica Lewinsky's for Pete sakes. But I think Judy would be a challenge ^_^

Actually I don't mind starting this one. Just need to load my WoOz dvd for morph ref pics.

I have tons and tons and tons of pics if ya need 'em :) If it's any help to ya, get your hands on a copy of "Me and My Shadows" or even pictures from it - especially those of Tammy Blanchard. If her nose were just a wee bit more pert, she could pass as Judy's identical twin sister. Not to say Judy Davis didn't do a good job - Judy Davis did a mind blowing job because her physical characteristics were almost the opposite of Judy's, but she was able to "channel" the essence in such a way that it didn't matter that she was almost six foot, when Judy G. was only four foot eleven. LOL, I'm babbling now ^_^

Mouth looks REAL GOOD! Look at the angle of the eyes - they slant down more horizonal. And the shape of the face needs attention. Keep up the good work. Judy is a Gem!

Thanks for the compliments. I'm not happy with the face just yet, for the same reasons you mentioned. I just wanted to show the progress so far. Right now ,though, I'm concentrating on creating her clothing. Not exactly an easy task for a newbie with conformers,LOL. vulcanis
