Having recently obtained an outboard midi controller for music production, I was reminded of a thread quite some time ago concerning work with Python scripting and the driving of character morphs. I think that it was all hypothetical, but would be fascinated to hear if anyone has advanced this at all since then. Theres an awful lot of possibilities if it
s feasible to access the midi port from the PPP. Anyone ??

I just got back from SIGGRAPH where Maxon was showcasing an add-on to Cinema 4d that allows controlling any aspect of a character via MIDI, very cool. They had a MIDI multi-channel mixer controlling camera and character movements. I guarantee it's just a matter of time before the other packages catch up. I'm sure it's possible in Python, but I'm no programmer.
