Here my problem: since I use Poser I have a huge section of zips now and burne them from time to time on CD. Now, if I am looking for a special Character or prop I have to figure out on whitch CD it is. Question: Is there a Programm whitch remembers the CD-Name where it is? Or a Programm where I can give Names for? How do you all handle this? Thanks

I've used SmartCat for years. It does just what you want. It catalogues CD's, Floppies, Zip disks, etc. Stores the results so that you can search your entire collection for directory names, filenames and even files within zipped files. You can also browse all your CD directories without inserting a single CD. I heartily recommend it.weirdass posted Sun, 12 August 2001 at 2:18 PM

I like IOMEGA FINDIT which came with older zip drives, however there are commercial programs which thumbnail/hyperlink files. Mac or PC? MitchYrast posted Sun, 12 August 2001 at 3:42 PM

The following link has a catalogisation programme for any kind of disks,CD's and DVD's. It optional unpacks archives and stores thumbnail previews. It's charity ware and not crippled in any manner (except that it is in german, sorry).SWAM posted Sun, 12 August 2001 at 5:01 PM

Wagner has a CD archiver for free (I think there are some limitations to it) at the 3d commune or you can purchase the full version for $15US. I have it and find it quite handy. Regards Eshal
