Help! Although I've followed some of the excellent tutorials posted here, I can't seem to get the textures mapping correctly in Bryce3D (rev 3.1, on a Mac). As you can see, I have the texture applied parametrically, but it still just wraps around entire figure. Does anyone know what stupid mistake I'm making?? Thanks.

Go check out this site. It explains the whole process in detail,it's a very good place to learn your poser tricks. It will show you step by step how to do it correctly, and it's easy to follow. Good luck. kaom

Thanks for the hint. If only things were that easy!! I've gone through the tutorial step-by-step, but I still end up with the texture out of sync with the mesh (see Angel Fish picture). Any ideas??

Try rotating the map 180 on the x control in the material editor. Seems like I read that somewhere, but I don't remember where. Hope this helps.

There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.

It should. That's the problem.

I had this problem when the texture wasn't square...1024x1024 or whatever...

Thanks everyone for the tips. Turning the texture through 180 degrees worked a treat! I wish I'd asked earlier and avoided many hours of frustration!!
