Subject: Help with mapping leaf images in B5

I got some nice closeup photos of leaves to use as textures on the B5 tree leaves. I set one up on a white background that mapped as transparent when brought into the tree editor as a material for the leaf. My problem is no matter which mapping mode I use it never maps properly showing ugly white space, etc. What's the correct procedure for mapping an image of a leaf onto the tree leaves in B5? Thanks

almost all image textures need a map. to get the quickest answer, instead of applying one that you made, apply one from the material presets...then look at the way they made it. the mask is a black and white image that determines what is visible and what is invisible. (white is visible, black is invisible) You have to make these in a image editor. luck BT

The leaf presets are just regular square textures without a mask to indicate mapping. So what you're saying is that if I can find the proper mask for the leaf shape than all I have to do is remap my textures to that shape and they'll map properly onto the leaf model? So now my question is this: where can I find the proper mask? Are there different ones for the panoply of leaf shapes in the tree editor? Thanks for your help!

I updated the tree tutorial to show the exact 'how to' for this. http://www.brycetech.com/tutor/bryce/tree4.html is the direct link to the leaf part. luck BT
