Subject: Does this qualify as street photography

Just warming up. But seriously does this qualify as street photography. I ionterpreted "street" as anything that did not occur in the studio so to speak. Suggestions and advice apreciated. Bsteph

well street is pretty much anything that isnt studio-esque, meaning, you didn't set anything up, but rather, captured an undoctored moment. Yup, it is in my book.

I'll weight in on "public places". Street protraits are usually taken to mean candid or semi-candid of people in their natural surroundings. Dorotha Lange, Eudora Welty, WeeGee, Etc. are prime examples of street portraits done "in the moment" .
