Subject: How Do I Bring TEXT into BRYCE

I was wondering how (if possible) i would be able to bring text into bryce 5 and use it in an animation! Any Help Is Good Help! Thanks GrimFox

Or you could do it in Photoshop or whatever paint program you use. And do it on a black background with the text solid white and save it as a bitmap, then create a symmetrical lattice and import the bitmap you made as the shape for the lattice, it doesn't work too bad, and you can get some really cool results with it.

I like the photoshop method. If you are pretty good at grayscales you can get some awesome text effects! I have never used elefont, so I can't say anything good or bad about it. Photoshop gives me a good amount of control over the grayscale. Plus, if you're good with alpha channels, you can "preview" it in photoshop before you actually get over to your rendering program! You could always download .3ds alphabet letters one at a time, I added a link if you want some letters already made. But they can be a pain to place...although they come out really nice. Sharen

thanks for all they help guys! Sharen that web site that u posted was not available maybe a spelling mistake. Elefont is a cool program i would recommend all byrce users to check it out.

This is a great tutorial by Peter Sharpe that explains how to make 3D text using a symmetrical lattice (as mentioned above).
