I can't figure out why there are all these spots on my pond. Why do they go away when I change the camera angle (see below)? The water is created using a flat terrain under the grass terrain. Any ideas?

Looks fine here!

Looks like it might be the material you're using for the water. Looks to be reflections of the environment to me. Try adjusting the sky colors around and see if perhaps the spots also reflect the color changes.

The doctor says I have way too much blood in my caffeine system.

Those spots are actually ripples. Check the bump map or change it completely if this was not the kind of look you were going for. Play around with some other water materials till you like one.

Thanks for the help. I have tried changing the water material and adjusting the sky colors with no result. I will mess around with the bump map to see if that fixes it. Thanks again.

To me it looks like the ripples are reflecting the green terrain. Did you try to go into the materials editor for the water and reduce the reflectivity?

It's definitly the reflection of the sky or veg showing up in the water, that's why it goes away when you change camara angle. Changing your bump will change the shape of those circles but the colors will always be there in some form so long as it is reflective.

Well, changing the bumb height seems to have fixed it. I was sure adjusting the reflective properties would do it, but it only made the water darker. Thanks for the suggestions!
