Has anyone here used Zoraks's combat boots from the free stuff in P4? When I try to use them, the Right boot is oddly transparent an all other figures (ie P4 Nude Fem and Jeans) show through it. It's not transparent, and is visible. If anyone can try this and see if they know know how to fix it, or has other combat boots, please let me know. Thanks in advance. TyggerBob

It probably has reversed normals. JH.

Use the grouping tool. select the entire boot. Be careful to get every face or the boot will have holes in it. Click the reverse normals button. Repeat for each segment of the boot (shin, foot, toe) Save the fixed boot back to the library.

Or you download my Lara Croft character at http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Highrise/6650/cara.ZIP It comes with combat boots too. I like them better and thats my totally unbiased opinion. "Phil" Hokusai

Zorak likely modelled a left boot, and then he (or whatever graphical package he used) made it into a right boot by changing the sign of all the x's in the coordinates of the vertexes. That would leave all the faces with their corners listed clockwise instead of anticlockwise when seen from outside. Some rendering packages ignore faces which are clockwise as seen by the camera as a quick way to ignore hidden faces, assuming that all the faces are anticlockwise outwards.
