Hi Everybody, The setup for the 'New' 3D Animation forum is well and truly under way but I need your help. We will be providing areas of reference to 3D animation with tutorials, software and hardware reviews, book reviews, useful links and pretty much anything that is 3D Animation related and can be categorized and put up in HTML. What we want from YOU.... We would like contributions. Do you have any recent books related to 3D Animation and would you like to write a review and have it published in the new resource center? Would you like to write a tutorial? We can convert it to HTML if you don't want to. Do you have any links that you would like to see included? (members sites will be included in another section), Do you own the latest version of a piece of animation software and would you like to give an opinion on it? I think you get the picture. We want to expand these forums into a veritable library of information. With this information we will all be able to share resources that are constantly updated (with your help). So if you would like to get a bit more involved with the forum please email me at colm_j@yahoo.com or leave me a message at the '3D Animation' forum. Many thanks, Colm...3D Animation forum administrator.

I am interested in Poser, Bryce and Truespace. I would help, but I'm a beginner. I'm getting quite good at poser though, so give it a month or two and I'll definntitley be able to help... NK

Soon. I'm swamped at the moment but I'll write some tutorials when I have a few minutes to breathe. Chris

BTW, I wrote a piece on animating dialogue that will appear in the next issue of 3D Artist, if anyone is interested. Chris

Thanks Chris that's excellent. 'Well done for the article'. Would you be interested if it's possible to republish it in the '3D Animation Resource Center'? Colm...

Not allowed to, I'm afraid. Part of the agreement with 3D Artist. However, it was sold to them as secondary printing rights since I had originall written it for the manual of PoseAmation Volume 2. The onr thing that the 3D Artist article WON'T have is the animated example that goes with the article. It IS included in the HTML manual with PA2. (hint hint) I will write some original stuff for this site. Chris

Chris, I had a feeling that may be the case. If you would like to emphasize more on the '(hint hint)' I will see what I can do. I don't actually have any of the PA CD's I am ashamed to say :)... I hope you find the time soon to do some stuff for us. I am hoping but no promises that the 'Resource Center' will open in the next 2 weeks. It all depends on how much content it has and how quickly it gets it. It is impossible for me to write all the tutorials for obvious reasons and even if I could it wouldn't be fair. Anything that you feel would help to advance the cause is welcome. Cheers, Colm...

Hi Folks! The majority of my most recent animations have been composed in Infini-D, which is sadly being discontinued. But I'm also teaching myself Hash AM, and at the first of the year I intend to post my movies from other programs, including animations in Bryce and Poser. Everyone please feel free to contact me thru the Forum or via my e-mail, which is DrZik@aol.com if I can be of any help. Peter (Dr Zik)

Hi Folks! Colm, I've just sent to you an e-mail with an attachment that begins to fulfill my earlier commitment about contributing to the 3D Animation Forum. I'm planning to submit a copy to my students: I hope the other members of the Forum will find it helpful. Please let me know what you think. Peter (Dr Zik)
