Ok I read through a couple of tutorials about making clothing and each one referred to using another 3d program to do so. I don't have any other programs (and poser just put a big dent in the funds). Is there any way I can make clothing items without using another program? i wanted to make some old style Japanese clothing figures.

You, can do a limited amount of modeling in Poser with primitives. However if you want to make props and clothing you need a modeling program. There are some good free modelers out there. Clothing modeling is not something you can do over night though. It takes a lot of practice. You might want to start out more simply, making thing like props. Not to discourage you. Some of the free modelers:Anim8tor,Strata3d,Blender and I think they are giving away an older version of Amapi. I'm sure there are more out there. hope this helps

And there have been a number of clothing tutorials run in the Amapi forum here. It's a very suportive crowd. And Anim8or has quite a follwing at a price that can't be beat - free. jon
