Very well written, Jean-Francois! I wouldn't expect to see export of the SolidGrowth items anytime soon, though. They are, after all, E-on's babies. :D

I think it's a mistake on E-on's part not to allow the export of plants. After all, why do they care if people buy their program just for that? With the price of Vue being what it is, many would look at it as a cheap plugin.

Jean-Francois, I think you did a pretty good job on that, and managed to cover the essentilas quite nicely. :) Just a few things though. You say that Vue can export it's models, but as far as I know, only terrains can be exported. Also, you need not import a DEM through the Terraion Editor. A DEM can be imported in the same was as any other model, via the Objects menu. I think Vue does much better this way with DEM's than through the Terrain Editor. Also, I think the Mac version won't only be for OS X. I think Lynn had said it might go back to OS 8.5 or something, though I wouldn't swear to it, and know nothing about MAC anyway. Overall, GREAT review!

Thanks guys...it wasn't easy to make the review though as there is so much to talk about Vue. You are right MikeJ, I wanted to say terrain exports instead of 3D models...I will try rectifying it once I get my articles editing script to work flawlessly. :) I didn't know about the DEM import via the Objects menu, I will try it out right away. As for the Mac version I am following what I saw on their site and like you I have been for too long out of the Mac market. :) There will be a tutorial coming up within a week for Vue 4, stay tuned. One more thing about the DEM import: When you import a DEM through the Objects menu, unlike any other sort of object, Vue 4 actually treats it as if it were a terrain, and allows it to be edited in the Terrain Editor, just like any other Vue terrain. :)
