...so I'm importing this file- it's too big. 90% (and 30 minutes) of the way through, it says, among other things, forget it. Fine. So, I trim down the file. Try again, and it immediately becomes apparent that it's still too big. However, when importing, Poser forgot one important thing- there's no handy little button saying "cancel" or "close" or "KnockitoffalreadybeforeIuninstallyou". Am I missing something? (Just hitting escape doesn't work, either.)

In Windows you can hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and choose "End Task". It will shut poser down, but you'll lose any unsaved data.

I know. :( It's not good for my blood pressure, either. I can't believe they'd leave out something like that. I'm begginning to think someone needs to send those fine Posercorp folks to Sensible Interface Design 101.

well, poser may not be perfect, but then if it were it would cost more. Won't solve your problem, but it might help your blood pressure just to remember "poser has it's limits"
