I have been having a problem with Poser/Victoria 1 & 2 that no one seems to know what to do with. Ive posted on dozens of newsgroups ever since I first encountered it (last year), and no luck. The problem I am having is with Victoria and Clothing Pak 1. Ive included an image with the problem, so please refer to it. I cant seem to get any of the clothing to conform to Victoria correctly. When I view the character from the front, everything looks fine (The render on the left). However, when I use the parameter dials to rotate her (i.e. yRotate) the clothing gets all funky (The middle and right renders) I have installed all updates, so that isnt it. And this problem appears on every OS I have installed (Win 9x, Win 2K, Win XP). Please Help! I've paid a lot of money for Victoria 1 & 2 and the Clothing Pak, and so far I've been unable to use any of them.

Just out of curiosity, if you change your camera view and look at Vicki from behind, instead of rotating her, then render THAT image, are things still screwed up?

No. If I change the camera view and look at her from behind, everything works fine. However, that isn't really a good option for obvious reasons. Kinda limits the scene. :) Any other ideas/suggestions???

Have you tried (just for the hell of it) rotating the boots the same amount as you rotate Vicki? I know that if you select the boots to conform to vicki they should rotate as well, but...

Yup. Thought of that. No luck. Only makes things worse. This is very FRUSTRATING! Thanks for trying to help!

??? Does your Vicky have unconventional scaling??? I mean by that: If for ex. you scaled her thighs in the y axe to 120%, then for sure you'd need to make the same adjustments on the boots thighs manually... Yeap!! Conforming does not do those adjusments automatically! Give you an example: Load a default Vicky, conform some clothes to her, then scale Vicky at 200%. In Most cases, the clothes stay at 10o%... Have you tried looking at different angles but, with the "shading w/lines" option?? That way it's easy to see if your clothing is confroming to vicky properly... Oh!! i just thought of something! You must make sure that Vciky has "inverse kinetics" turned off for the legs prior to conforming boots, shoes.... i know that others will say that it's not necessary! But, after many experiments... Anyhow, Hope this info helps a bit... Marco

I found this aswell, sometime if I select the offending top boot part and go into it's properties, I can uncheck bend with figure or whatever that thingy is and it seems to pop back. :) Doesn't work all the time but it does sometimes ;-)

One thing you could try. Turn all IK off for the Vickie figure and then rotate her by rotating the hip not the body.

Thanks for all the ideas! I tried 'em all, but the one that worked was from Taura Noxx. Thanks, buddy!! I can actually start using Vicki...like I should have been able to ever since I first purchased her last year. Tons of lost time to make up!!! Thanks guys/gals.

DAZ would like to thank all those who purchased the Victoria 2.0 Morphing Clothing Pak 1 by John Brugioni. We particularly wish to express our appreciation for the patience of the few people who have had a problem with the pak. The free June 2000 update released by DAZ for the initial Clothing Pak 1 is required for John Brugioni's morphs to work. For anyone who purchased the Victoria Clothing Pak 1 before June 2000, please see the Clothing Pak 1 product page in order to get the update. This update must be installed on your system in order for the Victoria 2.0 Morphing Clothing Pak 1 to work properly. If you have any further problems or concerns please contact Betsy at tech@daz3d.com. Again we apologize for the confusion and appreciate your patience. Thanks, AnneMarie DAZ
