Okay, this is my first time getting really close up to a figure that I've exported as an OBJ from Poser into Bryce. Where the heck did my eyes go????

They've turned white. :-) Seriously though, check in the tutorial section here for answers, but what's basically happening is that in Bryce you've got two spheres for the eyes. Make the outer one transparent (just select it and apply a glass material) and ta-da! you've got eyes again. :-) TomD

hold the control button when you click on the eye, a menu will pop up allowing you to select the different parts. (I had a hard time figuring that out) you also may want to try out the grouper program, it sets up your poser export for bryce.

Thanks! Which tutorials, Bryce or Poser? I'm taking it that these suggestions should be done in Bryce??

you want the bryce tuts, you seem to have the poser part covered (you,ve already exported your .obj file) these suggestions are for the bryce part as well.

Yes, use a glass texture for the outer sphere, or simply go to the editor and eliminate everything but a nice specular setting, for that little glint when the light is right, and full transparency. Try a color to the transparency setting for fun. It would be like using colored glass over the eye. I also take the inner sphere, which already has a the eye texture applied, and hype the specularity and ambience just a bit. There are other characters, such as the Bloodsong's Heavy Horse, that requre the eye work in Bryce. On that, I believe number 9 is the outer and 7 is the inner with the map. Walt "Mike"

Thanks everyone. I think I've got it. When I'm done, I'll post it so you can see what you've helped me with and give me some feedback.....

if you are using, eve, with the real eyes prop, it is the cornea, that needs to be made transparent. i forget which of the eye parts off hand for posette. anyway, in bryce, use one of the other camera views and get zoomed right up on her face, and use the ctrl click method to isolate each eye component and monkey around till find the right one. all you usually have to do is go to the material editor, turn transparency on, and choose blend transparency from the pull down menu, for the cornea and the eye colour will return.
