Thank you for the nice comments....The grooved ball is actually 122 tori (torus). I started with 1 applied the texture then replicated it 121 times changing the rotation. I can't remember the exact rotation changes (in degrees) but if you would like I can send you the file. I don't think it is too large. Thanks again!
