Hi all, it's Bia in Maryland. I realize we have been asked to stay off the phone lines but I wanted to post a quick message to those of you farther away from the disasters in NY and Washington, DC. There will be a great need in the next few days for Blood donations. PLEASE call your local RED CROSS and arrange to donate blood for the injured in these terrible times. This hit very close to home for me since we live so close to DC and have family in NY and DC...but when you are in the middle of the country it may seem like there is nothing you can do...there is...donate blood PLEEEEAAAZZZZEEEE! Thanks!

Been there, done that....yes need blood.

Good point brought up. Our local Red Cross was asking for donations also...... if anything they will need to restock depleted supplies. We all feel very helpless..... this is an opportunity to make a difference.
