can it be done, ive got someone to create a 3d stadium in maya and I have created a football player in poser. At the moment im importing the maya in to poser as a background image and then trying to place the models on top and try and match the light. Could I export the poser football player so that it can be imported and rendered in maya?

Of course, just export the character as an obj file.

Make sure you have the obj plugin loaded in maya then as ledenko says just import....can't remember exactly how to texture it but maya does texture them correctly...Steve

Ok, where's that link for the obj plugin for maya?

You don't need a plugin, maya has obj file importing, but it may not say obj but wavefront

Cools thanks... any special settings for importing your figure? So it doesn't come out looking like a deformed picaso wannabe?

No, not really, but I think that it will import the player as a single object, so you'd better export the player out of poser separately, e.g. first export the character, then the clothes, the hair etc...
