I've been searching for a rock or a boulder big enough for a cross-legged Michael to sit on. No textures needed. Anyone know of such a prop? thank you

Bryce4 will let you make a symmetrical lattice that you can export as an .obj file. You could also use a terrain item from Bryce. This would not be too hard to make. If you don't have Bryce, or can't find someone who does, message me, and maybe I can whip up something for you.

Marque, weren't you scared though.....oooooh, ahhhh, LOL, but seriously BillyGoat, what robreich said will work great too, if you have Bryce....but if not he did say he would whip it up for you....such nice people here. I guess I will have to ask Mike to whip up some simple props that people can use, not that he still isn't working on another surprise for you all already. Gotta keep him on his toes though....LOL

I really appreciate you all answering... I tried 3d cafe first - and yes, I have bryce. In fact I tried bryce along with the free 3d programs i have. It would take me longer to figure out the interfaces, than to make my own. I've imported bryce terrains before and they looked awfully sad. I feel pretty foolish asking for something soooo simple. So thanks for not poking fun at me. I'm off to Mitch3D - thanks for the link!

BillyGoat I found a rock in my poser props folder and the readme says the creator is: wolfwithin13@hotmail.com http://blackroses.shadowstaronline.com (I can't find it on the site though) The rock's nice and big enough to sit on (well heheh of course you can always scale it if necessary ;)

If all else fails, you can take one of the original P3 or P4 hair props, scale it up, tumble it if desired, add marble or concrete texture, imbed in the groundplane & you've got it. I've done it - (Nice to think those old hairs are good for something) LOL Render On!

Too funny - another use for the plastic hair. And Papu - I know i've seen that rock you refer to. About 8 months ago I came across a site offering a big boulder with posette sitting on it. I also thought I saw it at our freestuff here. At the time (like most of us) I figured that I could get it later. I did find what I was looking for at Mitch3D. Thanks again - I know it was an odd request.

Nothing is an odd request, glad you found what you needed. Sharen

I know I'm late to this thread, but amorphium makes great rocks. Thats all I seem to be able to make with it.LOL

If you have Bryce4, you can export your own rocks. 1. Create a rock by clicking its icon in the upper left of the window. 2. Then click on the small 'E' next to the rock. 3. When the Smooth Mesh dialog box opens, hold down CTRL and tap the 'd' key. That will allow you to export the rock as an obj. If you want to mess around, you can reshape the rock and change its material before you take Step 2.

I got a set of rock props with textures off of either the Free Stuff or the Market here on Renderosity a few days ago. If I paid for it, it was cheap, can't remember. Gromit
