http://berg.heim.at/kaprun/430112/special.htm I'm not particularly interested in this myself, but someone asked about a bin Laden model earlier, and I ran across this 3DS file while searching for other things. I think it's just the head -- not sure. The site has a few cool historical vehicles, too -- coaches, cars, etc. MikeNance posted Fri, 21 September 2001 at 10:15 AM
Kool. For those that recall, this is by long-lost R'osity member Helmut Schaub, who long ago posted an indian figure and the "Red Baretts" military figures here. Glad to find his site again. Thanks Mike.

Um, bin Laden's nose and face is wide and flat, not angular and beaky. Let's keep the racial stereotypes to a minimum here, folks.

I agree that the Bin Laden head isn't right... but he'd make a great Old Man of the Sea. Fairytales are full of stereotypes, so it would be appropriate. There are several nice vehicles at this site. I appreciated the fantasy blimp and balloon. A small niggle is the mask of Tutankhamen in the texture for the 1910 steam auto (a decade before the tomb was discovered) but with a new map that would work for any natural history-type expedition whether for bones or treasure or (gasp) the joy of discovery. Thanks for giving us a lead. Carolly
