Subject: Imaginary places challenge - Island of the Dead

I have been playing with this idea of imaginary places. Here is an interpretation of the Island of the Dead, from the famous painting by Arnold Brocklin. Of course, this image is out of competition :)

Wonderful painted effect! Was that accomplished through the lighting or post-render work?

The paint effect I used was 'paint daub' from photoshop. The actual Vue image looked too smooth.

I like the "painted" version best, but the original really has its own special quality, too! :)
