I am trying to make a Michael character that works in Raydream 3d Studio. I have poser Pro Pack. I have created the character, but I need to be able to create an .RSR file for the character. Older versions of Poser automatically created an RSR file if you deleted them before opening poser. The new version don't do that. Is ther a utility out there that you can edit the current michael RSR and change the OBJ reference to my new Raydream version? Raydream requires the RSR file. Thanks Gray

Can't you get the rsr if you add it to your figures library before you bring it to RayDream? That should create the .rsr. Sharen

heyas; well, i think he's saying that the pro pack doesnt create an rsr any more. (the geometry rsr, i presume.) ray dream only opens poser 3 files, how are you getting pro pack pz3's into it, let alone a poser 4 figure?? or maybe that's why it's not working :/

The Raydream plugin still works with poser 4 and propack, You just cant have clothes on the character. Robots and other characters like poser 4 nude, michael nude work as well. You have to remap Michael though onto one texture map. I just need the geometry RSR.

wait, do you have 5.5 or 5.02?? cuz my 5.02 does NOT work with p4. if i were you, i'd email daz and ask them for a michael geometry rsr. of course, if you remapped him, you wouldnt be able to use the standard rsr. you ARE in a fix! :/ you might have to install poser 4 and use that to make the rsr.

Actually, the plugin works in both 5.0 and 5.5. I have used it in both. I own michael and its .rsr. Like you said though, I have remapped the obj file under a new name. My cr2 file works with it, but why doesn't it create an object RSR anymore.?

heyas; well, pro pack doesnt use the geometry rsr any more, it just access the obj directly. that's why. it doesnt use library rsrs any more, only pngs or whatever. well, i dont really need ray dream to open pz3s any more, since i dont use that to render. although if it still does the animated pz3s..... hmmm!

Well, I got it to work. I installed poser4 in a different directory. Moved the Cr2 and OBj to there corresponding directories. when the cr2 opens the obj, it creates a cr2. the poser extension in raydream needs to be edited so that it accesses the pose.exe of the poser 4 program, not the propack. This allowed for an animation of michael in Raydream.
