Hi, all ! iwas wondering how i can make 3DStudio files into poseable props...? Do i need another 3D Rendering program, or will 3DStudio, 3DStudio MAX or TrueSpace do the job ? Can anyone give hints on this subject ? Thanks in advance ! Rob.

You can do the job with 3DStudio and 3DStudio MAX, but you need to convert the files to .obj format first. I assume you can do it with Truespace, though I've never used it so can't be sure. The best thing to do is download all the tutorials from bushi's site, http://www.spiritone.com/~bushi and when you've read them and experimented a bit ask on the forum again if you get stuck. Bushi used RDS5 but the principle's the same. One day I plan to do some tutorials using MAX, in fact I started them, but other things intervened. One day..... After you've read bushi's tutorials you should download my poseable pearl necklace from the Free stuff page and then examine the .obj and .phi files in a text editor you'll get the idea. Good luck, Maz

If you save out in 3ds format and need to convert to OBJ, there's a programme called 3DWIN (the link is on the right under Web Resources) which does the job perfectly. I've yet to discover anything that will convert .max files though Paul

Hey, thanks for the hints. I'll be trying some out in the next few days, and let you know my findings ! Regards, Rob.
