I have poser and Max 2.5. I want to export poser geometry, import it into max, tweek it, export it and use the geometry as morph targets. Any "max changed geometry" morphs becomes huge and very high up on the y axis when I dial to 1. From Poser, I'm exporting as .obj, From Max, I'm also exporting as .obj. If I export an obj from Poser, and DON'T DO ANYTHING TO IT AT ALL, just use the obj as a morph target, it starts the size and vertical distortion. Any suggestions on what's going on?

I have Max 2.5 with Habware's MaxObj plugin. Here is the settings I use for the import plugin. Please note that it imports very small, but it has to be that way for poser. Also, you will need to import the whole character. Max when exporting resets the center of the obj file and it will not align properly with the character.

Hi Will, Got it. Thanks for the help. There are several steps I have to do to get it to work. 1.When I export .objs from Poser, when I get to the last screen, check the "Make Morph Target" box. 2. When I import into max, make sure the vertex scale is set to 1.0 3a. When I export from max, make sure the vertex scale is set to 1.0. 3b. The #ofDigits dial is set to at least 8. (Poser requires the precision of a vertex value being 3.2345667, not 3. By default, the export value is 1. That was rounding off all the vertex positions into something very distorted.) I found I could export/morph individual body parts if I followed those steps. - Jazz450
