Reminds me a little of Dune, not exactly sure why. Cool start. The overall proportions seem a little odd, like something is either too short or too tall. Maybe putting in some object that has a "known" height could bring everything in line.

johnj.... the Dune thing is that in the first movie.. they had some sorta hovering lamp kinda thingy.. that looks like that. very cool work and lighting Pleiades
