First, a black and white--milkweed seeds blowing everywhere (the farmer's curse, the Monarch butterfly's blessing, so we allow them in our pastures).

And the second--the first 'fallen Autumn soldier' here--and the late afternoon light created beautiful grass shadows through it.

I have often commented to friends about how different people see things. Some only see broad vistas, while others see beauty in the small areas. When your equiptment is setup the match your vision the results are more consistent. These images are wonderful examples of seeing beautiful elements and being ready to capture the moment. The leaf is almost abstract in color content and real in details.

Again, diane-- WOW. I wish I had a macro and a digicam. Darn...

Ditto on the backlit leaves. No software can bring out that kind of brilliance! I sure hope you post some of the progression of the Appalachian fall color as it moves in these next 3 weeks!

I also agree with the above comments, i would like to see you do more with the milkweeds, i like that and we don't have any here that I have seen, I think that if you try to get one catching the sun that might give a really neet effect. The leef is also gorgus, I did a somewhat similar shot of one still on the tree not that long ago, but it didn't come out all that good, (It's on the "Need to reshoot list, along with about 5 Gazilion other shots...) Nice to see you posting in hear, I havent been doing any 3D work since my system crashed, and 3D drive "STB" LOL -Gabe-

By the way, just to see how it works, I would like to see a bit more contrast in the shot of the leaf, I just looked at it again, and think that the veins in the leif might come out a bit more if you do. hell if nothing else, give it a try and see what happens. -Gabe-

Cool shots Diane! That milkweed one is great! What impresses me even more is that I've been playing about with macro in the garden recently, and a good picture makes it look so easy! I wish it was.......lol (",)
