Yeah, that SAMS3D Haunted House is great, isn't it? And, aside from it's obvious quality as looking "haunted", it's also excellent as a non-haunted house, if you know what I mean. Picture looks cool, but on my monitor it's very dark, making detail difficult to see.

yes its a really excellent house! I wanted to make a dark , spooky image, only having lights inside the rooms,wanted to see how it looks. Sorry , if its too dark for some people.Any monitor is slightly different,and i think,in dark pics you see the differences first

LOL Great render! It's one of my favorite models,They did a relly incredible job on it! (love your use of lighting! 'tho it's pretty dark on my monitor, too, it's a great pic!)

Phantast : if you want to know more about these house, have a look at www.sams3d.com yes: it has several rooms,2 stairs one ,doors that open and close, but no furnitures. But there are many furnitures in freestuff

Beauty! Mikej That is honestly one of the nicest renders I've ever seen here! Beautiful lighting! Any tech details? (Program rendered in, source of landscaping, etc.?) Beautiful, beautiful work! (Have I mentioned that I LIKE it?) thgeisel's render that launched this thread is lovely, too, but in a different, moodier, way. Mikej's almost reminds me of a Kinkaide light painting. (G What can I say, I'm a sucker for the whole Halloweeny/ghostly/eerie/etc-type-stuff catagory!)

I had to turn my monitor brightness up to 100 to see it! but it looks like it's a nice render... that bright it gets kind of flattened out but I get the idea and it looks great.

Thank you, leather-guy. the rendering program was Vue d'Esprit 4, which suppiled all but the house model itself. It was actually a very fun picture to make, trying to set up the lighting where it complimented the house and showed some of it's detail. Of course, SAMS' house has detail all over it... I honestly don't understand how the polygon count is so low, considering the detail.....

It makes for a great backdrop for a scary cemetary or scene as well, like the one in the link I did...Thanks much sams3d.. I plan to use it some other scenes as well...

I would, but it's not a texture exactly. Was re-texturing using the Bryce material Lab and used many different individual textures and settings...Thanks for the compliments...
