Guess I shouldn't have ticked off the captain of that ship. Sigh...going to be a loooong swim. Marque

LOL! Good start, Marque! Now maybe add a few trees so he could build a raft? :)

Marque you did great with the morph and this is your first render in Vue? Did really well...I am no expert, but I do know what my eyes like and I like it. Sharen

Actually Vue is pretty cool. Just trying to get a handle on these programs, not enough time to learn them all...lol I'm having problems with the lighting, need to get into the manual more but I'm wanting to learn LifeForms first. You all just keep dragging me away with your amzing renders! I'm sitting here thinking...woah..."insert program name here" does that??!!!" lol Marque

This looks pretty good too, Marque. I had trouble with lights at first too, but you get used to it. The "sun" in Vue doesn't really act like a sun would. For example, if you have the sun in Vue behind your subject and low, you will see mostly silhouette. In reality of course, just because it's 8:00 p.m. and nearing sunset, doesn't mean you still can't see things, but In Vue it does... One way to fix it is to up the ambient light settigns, but too much of that destroys some shadows and makes for unrealistic lighting. As for me, I add lots of quadratic point lights here and there, making most of them shadowless, and with no lens flare, of different colors, and varying brightness. Just keep with it and experiment...you'll see. :)

Great beginning!! I think you will catch on swiftly....I'm still learning and haven't produced anything quite as good as your first results. Irene

Irene the last one was a pz3 file that I dropped in after picking the sky and landscape that I wanted. Being able to set stuff up in poser first really helps....specially if you're new...and a tad lazy. 8^) Marque
