I created a texture using Victoria's body template (as opposed to the catsuit). That texture is mostly black. Can anyone tell me the secret to making that texture shiny? No matter what I do, lighting, etc., when I render the image, the black texture is flat. I want my rendered image to have a shiny black texture (like latex or plastic). Can anyone help me? Thanks! -Nathalie

changing the highlight to white will make it shiny but the problem is it won't just affect the black part of your texture....another way to do it is use the grouping tool to create a new material for the catsuit so you can make that shiny without affecting the skin........Steve

The problem is my "texture" is all black with some white accents. When I change the highlight to white, the white accents do not show up in the render and it still doesn't look shiny. Picture a black texture with crude white sewing stitches on it. Does that make sense? Is it possible to do this?

You also need to set the reflective color to white.
