First of all, for beginners the manual works well, but easy to understand....not always....it is not that easy a software to really learn, but once you have the basics you will do fine. I have read Poser4 Pro Pack f/x Design...by Richard Schrand...pretty good, it applies to Poser 4 also. Try my tutorial, it is long but easy to understand and it might help you with some of the basics. Sharen

The Poser 4 Handbook by R. Shamms Mortier was worth the $13 I paid for it but it lists $49.94 it's thick but mostly full of wierd stuff. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Until you've gone through the tutorials availale here I wouldn't bother with another book. If you print out all the tutorials you would have a good sized book. I have the PPP book SAMS3D mentioned and neither of the two books added anything to what I already learned from the posted tutorials and from asking. Give PhilC a poke and ask him when he's going to put out his Modeling Book.
