Had a little challenge on another forum--shoot something in your own backyard--well, I've shot just about everything there worth shooting this time of year--esp. on a dreary overcast day, but I went back to the milkweeds which are infinitely interesting to me--for a variety of reasons (on top of this, reading a terrific book on the migration of Monarchs--and milkweed is their caterpillars' food of choice). Here is a color shot--notice the 'critters'. Diane

This is awesome! The "critters" seem to be hard at work. Are they just eating, or making a home for the winter?

Beautiful, I agree. You know, kids in my neighborhood believe that if you catch a milkweed floating in the air and make a wish, you will get what you ask for. (*
