Good stuff, Phil. How deep do you go into joint parameters and spherical falloff zones? Enquiring minds want to know. ;^B

Too cool! And only $29.95, too! Just placed my order!
PhilC posted Sat, 06 October 2001 at 9:44 PM
I have a complete section on joint parameters and include setting up the fall off zones. I use a large number of screen shots, some animated, to illustrate how these work. I have not naturally been able to give a set of values to fit every case but rather have tried to explain what each element does and go through the methods I use to set them up.

I so want to buy this cd, but I'm afraid that it'll be like almost every other time I've tried to learn to model something... but the way I look at it... it's only thirty bucks... and if I'm going to spend thirty bucks I'd rather the money go to someone like Phil... I never realized you lived in Kentucky Phil... (I'm originally from Ohio... Cincinnati to be exactly... so I'm well aquainted with the Bluegrass state... and I can honestly say I don't miss it one bit! ;) )

What software, if any, is necessary to view/print the lessons on the CD? Do you cover PPP's Setup Room at all? What is your PayPal information so I can order it? Thanks.

I forgot... Congratulations on the successful completion of what had to be a horrendous project.

Is it platform specific? Or cross platform?
dolly posted Sun, 07 October 2001 at 2:27 AM

Thanks Cin-,
Yes I live in Kentucky but I'm the only redneck with a British accent :)
Hi Jackson,
The tutorial is written in HTML to be viewed in your browser. Models are in OBJ format so they can be viewed in Poser (or your 3D program if that will import OBJ) COB format is also included. I have written it for Poser 4 users and make no reference to features only found in the Pro Pack.
If you need more info regarding PayPal could you please email me, I'm not sure what you mean there. pcooke@philc.net
VirtualSite,
To my best knowledge it is cross platform. I do not have a Mac but had assumed that HTML could be read by each. If someone would like to give greater details here I would appreciate it.
Hi dolly,
Currently only at my site but I anticipate other outlets in the future. Nothing is cast in stone but alternative distribution may affect the price.
Thanks Irish,
It will ship tomorrow as soon as the post office opens :)

I have been waiting for this one :) Once you have figured out overseas shipping I will be purchasing... Via Cheque.. I come from the land downunder...

sigh Phil you're causing me such a dilema... or is it delima... I can't spell. I keep going back to www.philc.net and putting my little mouse pointer of the button to buy the cd and then I stop myself... I SO want to order the cd, but I'm afraid it'll turn out like every other attempt I've made at modeling clothing... an terribly frustrating failure... I'm going to end up buying it... I just know I will... so everyone think positive-it'll be different this time-thoughts, so that maybe I'll be able to actually make something! :)

Hi Cin,
Yes I can understand what you mean. In my teens I almost bought a book entitled "How to play the guitar in 12 easy lessons". I never did buy it and I never did learn to play. My tutorial will not make it easy, but I hope it will make it easier.

I got mine today, too. I just did a quick skim through, and it looks very good.
