I knowthis must be a real Stupid Question but i really dont know how to manage this problem: Grass Textures look nice, when the distance is high bot if you get closer it looks like the ground on the picture...is there a way to improve this?

Here it is:-)

I'm not sure I understand the question right, but...you could use more than one plane to form the ground, one for distance and one for foreground. Or use terrains for that. Then you can adjust the material to how it looks best for the distance. :)

Varian, do you mean, as reference using two grunds, that one would vary the material size for the two, i.e., smaller for closer to the camera and bigger farther/fartherest from the camera, or vice versa? TIA. Larry F

Larry, yeah I'd start with scale first. Marcel indicates he likes the distant appearance, but not the closer one, and that probably is a function of scale...since things appear larger when closer, smaller when further away. So perhaps a smaller scale on the foreground material is all that's needed. There could be other adjustments made as well, though, depending on the "look" one is interested in. Maybe even using an entirely different material in the foreground, or the same one but with different functions or colors. Experimenting around should result in something decent. :)

Thanks. That is about what I was thinking. I will say that I am both abstounded and comfusticulated at what can be done with functions. Have spent many hours just changing them randomly. Vue is a very powerful program, for sure for sure. Larry F
