Subject: Robot Hand

OK, here's my idea for the robot hand. It has three arc-shaped fingers that retract/extend into/from the main hand, which is shaped like a bowl. I'm going to add something, maybe like an iris opening, so the robot can drop things into the bowl of its hand and then carry them.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. OK, here's a bit of how-to, regarding the fingers. This will probably be too basic for most of you guys, but I'm hoping to encourage some of my fellow beginners to give this project a shot. I made my fingers using the vertex modeler (yes, instead of the spline modeler, like a normal person would do; I like working with polygons). I wanted to make sure that they would follow the contour of the bowl-shaped hand, so this is how I went about it:
