Subject: Bobby and Paul problem: eyes

I got the two figures that incorporate Michael and Victoria's heads on the P4Man, however i can't figure out how to get the eyes to texture properly. Neither the Michael/Victoria Head, nor the P4 Man body maps seem to make the eyes look right. Any suggestions? Mike

It would use the Mike/vicky maps, are you using the mike maps for bobby & the vicky maps on paul and not vice versa? (this could be an easy mistake)

Yeah, I'm using the correct maps, but still getting the weird results.

Yes... show a pic, because it's the head only of Mike for Bobby and the head only of Vickie for Paul (the bodies use the P4 male)

Hiya, I had the same problem. The eyes didn't take a texture at all. The simple solution was turning the 'eyewhite' material (or was it the eyeball? I can't remember, try both) transparent.... both transparency max and min to 100%, falloff to 0%... I think. Try it and let me know if it worked :-)

Thanks Gang -- what worked was setting the Eyeball/Eyeballs material to being transparent. Now why these heads were made with a useless blank eyeball in the first place by Daz/Zygote, I have no idea, but thanks Warrior for creating Bobby and Paul. Mike

Ahhh, the reason for the eyeball is to give the eye a more glassy appearance. Glad you solved it though.

Yup. You have to treat Bobby and Pauls (and Polly too) heads exactly like Mike and Vickies as far as texturing goes. ...and always remember: When apply Mike or Vickie morphs to them, always do it in Morph Manager. Do not apply directly (otherwise, you'll have their heads flying all over the place L)
