Hi. I have some difficulties with the colors in Photoshop. After I've made them image as I want it and save it, the colors look different in all other programs including the net. It is much bluer. When I want puple I get blue. It's quite distubing since I like purple. ;) Please help me if you can.

Yes of course. But if I want purple I have to guess the color in Photoshop. And in Photoshop those purples are almost pink. :-P

Photoshop uses color management. Most other programs don't. Your monitor profile is probably off. Run Adobe Gamma again. Also, be sure you have your RGB working space set to sRGB, or use the generic Web Graphics Defaults preset. [Adobe Gamma is found at Start > Settings > Control Panel in Photoshop 6; at Photoshop/Calibrate folder (Windows) or Photoshop/Goodies/Calibration folder (Mac OS) in 5.5. Color settings are found at Edit > Color Settings in Photoshop 6, and at File > Color Settings in earlier versions.] -Jay Arraich

What color mode are you working in? If it's cmyk, it will mess with the colors...

RBG.. I only use CMYK for printing...

Right, that's the way it should be.... Are you using different percentages of the colors? gradients? When a color is a 100% it can look totally different at 70 or 60, because some of the other shades it's made of can become more dominant. In your case it would be the reds... I'm not sure if that's the problem, but it's a big possibility.

setting your monitor up to run om adobe gamma is the vital thing. I've found that as long as I do that, the colors in all programs I use stay the same throughout any transition
