Any clue where I may find something like this? I'm trying to do a battle scene and I could use some of these.. any help would be appreciated. :smiles: Thanks

sorry, I can't, but maybe you can download a standard flag and texture what you want on it. Sharen

The I don't mind doing the texture, that'd be easy enough.. but I need something like a banner or standard. A normal flag is easy enough to find... :grins: Oh well.

Hmm. I'll try and give that a shot. I made a pretty crude banner once, maybe it will be better the second time around. You want a long rectangle, a long triangle, or one of those double pointy things? Just the flag part, or on a pole? If I make anything halfway decent I'll be glad to e-mail it to you. jon

In the Warhammer section.. there's a battle standard of the type that you sketched... CheersAnzan posted Sat, 13 October 2001 at 10:06 PM
Man.. I've looked there a few times and I've not managed to find it. Is it bundled with a character perhaps and not shown?
Marque posted Sat, 13 October 2001 at 10:51 PM
Well, I guess the Wiremonger site is gone. I kept hoping they would finish the castle. I am searching for my wiremonger stuffage to see if there is a standard there for you, will let you know if I find one. Marque

I made it in Nendo in about 20 mineuts. Took me the better part of an hour to do the texture, even as lame as it is. I am NOT what I consider a texture mapper, just throw together simple ones so my models don't have to go naked. I'll work on a flag tomorrow. If you find something else before then that's great. This is just exercise for me. jon

Hey Jstro, any chance of putting that flag in free stuff. I too am working on a medieval scene. and that would look great flying from the tent poles. I am not getting on very well with modelling things, so prefer to borrow some one elses where I can. And I do consider that I borrow them, not own them even though they are on my computer.

Texturing takes forever :grins: it's definately a knack, one I'd like to be better at, but I ussualy can get by.. if barely :Grins: But I don't even have the software to make objects, outside of the clumbsy stuff I may be able to do in bryce. Thanks again for the help though, and I'd definatly be interested in that banner whenever you feel your done. It's still useful.
Marque posted Sun, 14 October 2001 at 6:56 AM
I may be able to texture it with a banner from one of my books. Marque

I've never done FreeStuff before, always just e-mailed things before. But now that I have a web site, sure I'll put it in FreeStuff. My stuff is always free. I just do this for fun. Well, off to make that flag now. I'll tell you all when they are ready. jon

jstro posted Sun, 14 October 2001 at 2:18 PM

Okay, the banner and flag have been uploaded to FreeStuff. I did not shorten the pole, since you said you could probably do that and it saved me from having to redo the texture map. Enjoy. jon
