heyas; okay, this is gonna sound strange... the other day i noticed my photoshop (version 4) has two gif formats. one is compuserve gif, and it is the normal everyday good gif that works right. then there's this other gif format; i have no idea where it came from. it's called GIF (RD). and if i accidentally save as that, all i get is a blank black image. so i was wondering not only where the heck that came from, but how i might get rid of it. any clues?? :/ thanks!

go to start/find and type *.8bi then search in your PS folder. take the file you want to remove put it in another folder to be on the safe side ;)

Adobe endeavored to have Photoshop support every concievable image type. To be honest, I have no idea wehat the 2nd GIF format is associated with, but I am always careful to use the Compuserve GIF format because I experienced the same thing. Just use the CS one and you'll be fine.
