Well, you asked ;). 1. I think the inside of the mouth is too pink and much too light in color. 2. Could you consider any other eyeshadow color than green? I know I personally used to avoid that color because I looked rather like a ghoul when I wore it ;). 3. The crease marks on the lips are too much straight up and down. Maybe angle them out a little more as they approach the sides of the lips. 4. The eyebrows are a bit too dense. You may want to thin them out just a little bit. Other than that, I think it looks okay. Certainly better than I could do ;). Laurie

Thanks I will thin the eyebrows and work on the lip lines, I knew the tongue was to pink so I will fix that too :) Thanks :)

This is looking really good. Couple of suggestions. The eyeshadow looks much better, but try softening the eyeliner with a smudge brush. It's too dark and harsh. Also, clone out the highlights from the eyes (I'm assuming you used a photo for the irises). dina's cornea layer will let you make very convincing and more realistic highlights by adjusting the reflection. Also, try making the wrinkles on the bottom lip less straight up and down. They should follow the curve of the lip.

Wow! That's much better pokeydots! :). I agree with Diane on the lips and eyeliner, but what an improvement :). Laurie

Wow, with the lips closed, the texture really looks SO much more realistic! Nice work on that latest render, I much prefer the more natural look myself, so to my taste, the lipstick is too vivid, but I know I'm in the minority, there. Wonderful Progress! - Started on the body, yet?

Lookin' good Poketdots ;-) 2 suggestions... Lower eyelashes need to be less well defined. Try using a finer line in your graphics program to make them. The edges on the eyebrows look to harsh, try softening then a bit. I have Dina and know how thin the actual outer mesh is so you may just want to put them on the actual face map so you can make them more feathered ;-)

Ok, I'm gonna give it another try :) lol, by the way those are my lips on her :) so MY lip lines are off! roflol And the eyebrows are painted on the texture,, so a thinning I will go!

This is really good Sallie! Everything looks great! (I ain't crazy about the eye shadow but that's just me...) One thing: The eyeballs are too white... you need some red lines in there or, otherwise, she'll look like a Visine ad! ;o) (WOW, is it me or does that tongue look real?) -Nathalie
pokeydots posted Sat, 20 October 2001 at 4:27 PM
oops! lol thats my tongue too :) I have lines and shading in the eyewhites, but I can't figure out why it doesn't show, I will try and fix that :) Thanks Nathalie :)

Pokeydots, I have found that the colors in the eyewhites tend to get washed out, I think because poser eyes are set to be very reflective. To compensate, I either make the texture much darker/richer than looks right unrendered, or set the material color to a cream color, so that gets multiplied into the texture
DTHUREGRIF posted Sat, 20 October 2001 at 4:51 PM
Wow, that tongue IS great! Sallie, the lip thing may be happening because of the way you are applying the lip photo to the map. If you look at a straight on photo of lips, you will see that the lines appear to curve inward toward the mouth toward the edges. If you are applying a 3/4 view photo to the map or one that was taken at an angle from below, you will get lines running the wrong way. One easy way to fix this is to use a liquify brush and push the lines a little.

Looking really good. My one suggestion would be to tone down the nostrils a little bit. I know we don't want them glowing, but I personally don't like to see them looking like an obvious brown spot. One suggestion would be to "smudge" some of the face into the nostrils. It makes it a little more subtle of a shift.
