Question: Mapping adjustment of an imported OBJ figure into Poser 4 with Propack SP3. Im hoping someone can help me here I need to find a means of repositioning a texture map on an imported figure. This is a character that was created as separate body parts in Rhino and imported into RDS/Carrara (in OBJ format) for hierarchical editing and texturing, and then exported to Poser as an OBJ file. In Raydream/Carrara, the character looks like fig.1 When imported into Bryce, the mapping required that I create a new texture map. With the adjustment controls, I was able to achieve what you see in fig. 2 Unfortunately, when the same OBJ is imported into Poser, all of the mapping on the torso is inclined to align 90 degrees to the right of center and well below the center. This can be seen in fig. 3 Are there any solutions to this problem? Many thanks!

I'm not an expert but if you get hold of UVmapper from the freestuff you can make a new texture map then recolor it with that, that's the best way I can think of to fix the problem, hope this helps mate :)

IMHO: One should consider any new obj import to be "unmapped" when bringing it into Poser. With that in mind run it through UVMapper, and then import it. Not all 3d modellers import/export along the same xyz coords.
