My RDS v.5.5 does the same thing; I never got the boolean plug-in for it. When you select boolean and it asks for the special serial number, doesn't it also give you a message with the phone number for Radical FX? I've no idea if they're still in business, but it probably wouldn't hurt to call the number and inquire. :)

Something sounds funky. I've never heard or seen anything saying Boolean is extra. I have RDS 5.5 and never got a boolean serial number request. It's part of RDS, not an extra plugin. You should be able to use the boolean without any message of wanting a number. I don't have RDS or the disks with me, but I would look for a number on the CD. If you can't find one, then try reinstall. Weird!

My experience is the same as vhingh's. I just installed RDS 5.5 and everything worked. (At least the boolean operations functioned as well as they ever have in RDS.) I wonder what's making your copies of RDS 5.5 function differently from mine. Where did you get them? Are you sure they're RDS 5.5 and not 5.0?

Oops, actually mine is 5.2. Got both 5.0 and the 5.2 upgrade from the Metacreations website oh so long ago. Still says the boolean is a demo only. Maybe it was included standard with 5.5? I never bothered to check into it back then because there were other plug-ins I had to get that were also included only as "demo" versions, like the Live Styles, 4 Elements and...something else I forget now.

Neither of my versions of 5.0 and 5.5 required any special tricks to use booleans. Seems strange.

Hi Dragon 697, This is indeed a problem, but i'm thinking of something ... If the program asks for a serial number, maybe it's because the booleans extension is not sold with Raydream 5.0 . Maybe it's just something you have to buy . Yeah i know, it would be impossible now that Metacretins is down :( ... What's written on the manual, or box ? Does it say booleans are included ? Anyway, please don't ask of burning a CD here, i think it would be illegal ... Even though it would be the easiest solution of the problem ;) ! Unfortunately, the problem does not come from the CD ... Who are the devellopers of the booleans plug ? Anyone knows ? You should try to contact them if possible and get a legal serial number . I hope you'll find a solution . litst

Mine says the extension is made by Radical FX, and it provides a phone number to call. 1-800-846-0111
