On the second CD that comes with Poser, the Content CD, are all of the templates for everything that came with poser. Templates for all of the figures and clothing. You have to paint the texture on top of one of these templates, and apply that as the texture map.
phuturelegend posted Fri, 26 October 2001 at 5:20 PM
ok thanks for that! :O) Problem is though that poser didnt come with vicky, i had to pay for her........story of my life is that lol anyway ive changed my picture as suggested, figured out what lacrimals are too lol

That's really nice-- I like the lighting and the expression on her face... Constructive: Very nice set of the face, but I think we're missing the shadows for the eyelashes. In such a heavily shadowed image, it does stand out. I think you could do with a bit more detail in the texture map. Bring out her eyebrows (I don' t see any!), her lips, and a bit of colour on the cheeks and forehead couldn't go astray. The texture map is half the character, as far as I can tell. I do love the expression-- I can see a lot of careful work went into that!

ok thats great, thankyou! #:O) I had real trouble even getting the eyebrows on there, thats why there missing (told you i was new to this lol). I added colour to the cheeks though as youll see from the first image compared to the second, just subtle though like blusher. Ill play around with that a bit more though :O) any idea on the eye lash shadow thing too, how do i make the shadows more prominent? Thanks for ripping my artowrk to pieces you B@#'rd lolol (only joking) thanks for the compliments and the critisisms.....if people dont tell me where im going wrong ill never learn :O) daz

Daz provides the templates, check the bottom of the page you purchased the clothes from. here's a link to the templates for vicky's clothing pack 1 also uvmapper (from free stuff) can make a make from any .obj file. get this program as you will need it, it's listed under utilities.phuturelegend posted Sat, 27 October 2001 at 5:55 AM
Thanks Shadow, what would i do without ya hey? :O)
I got that UV mapper thing a while ago and played around with the sample object for a bit then tried it with a poser figure. Am i right in thinking its not that easy to produce a template. The tutorial i looked at for poser3 females on uvmapper's site talked about moving stuff around on the template once it was created. sounds a bit tricky to me :O(
Right im off to try that eyebrow thing. Thanks again everyone!

In the Free Stuff I saw another verison of "POSH".. it that end of the list... I cant remember if it was in Victoria or not
shadowcat posted Sat, 27 October 2001 at 3:01 PM
The eyebrow settings should be the same as the face. Think of the "eyebrow" as the skin beneath, and the "upper eyebrow" as the hairs. really don't get discouraged, vicky's eyebrows are a tricky thing, I think that Daz labeled the materials badly on this point. only two materials should be transmapped eyelashes and upper eyebrows.

Good lighting for Poser.
phuturelegend posted Sun, 28 October 2001 at 5:18 AM
so shadowcat........i need to go back into materials yeh? and then de-select the transmap for every other face part except the upper eyborws and the eyelashes yeh? when you say they should be the same as the face, do you mean "skinhead"? oh man i give up :O( I wish you could buy a tablet that you swllowed that would give you everyone else knowledge in a split second, it'd o much easier :O(
shadowcat posted Sun, 28 October 2001 at 10:30 PM
nah, you don't need to de-select the transmap, just make sure the transparency sliders are at 0% for the eyebrows. yes face = skinhead
phuturelegend posted Mon, 29 October 2001 at 6:21 AM
ok thanks a lot :O) Ill give that a go now (sigh) :O)

The other "Posh" in Freestuff is Cyphre's, for Posette. Do a search for 'Posh' in Freestuff and you'll go right to it. Wunner why no one did any of the other Spice Girls.
