Wondering if anyone with modeling experience would be willing to team up to create Kendo armor for the Michael and Victoria models? My forte is textures and skins more than modeling. I am looking for someone to create the models of the armor pieces which I can then provide textures for... I have all the information we will need. I have pics of the armor and a manual on how to construct the real item that will be helpful. If you interested in this project e-mail me at lastbeatofmyheart@hotmail.com If noone is interested I will still be working on this project. It will just take a much longer time while I learn what I need to to create the armor items.

Wish I could help you Teppodama, I do have some chain mail texture you can use if you wish. You can view it on my gallery site under "the pledge". Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.Virus posted Sun, 28 October 2001 at 1:32 PM

The outfit looks awesome!!! Yes I bet the helmet will be difficult to make, I don't know if I'm right about this, but I guess it has shoulder protections too? or they come from the helmet down to the shoulder?. It was a great Idea to use Mike for this project, the outfit definitelly is great. Good Job. :) Yes I will be interested in some other projects. Best regardings Virus

Glad you like the idea. This isn't even the armor model. this is something I threw together out of morphed costumes. 3 to be exact. Alittle color alteration and judictious use of invis on Micheal body parts and I got this. You are correct about the shoulder protection coming from the helmet itself. it has a leather piece that comes down each side and lays across the top of the shoulders.I put together the outfit in the above pics as a way to visualise how the armor might look on Michael. When this project is completed I will leave a msg for you and see if you have the time to brainstorm on the next armor set. The community has alot of armor pieces of high quality floating around already, but most of them seem to be a western pattern. I hope to expand that selection with armor from more diverse cultures. For example.. A full suit of ceremonial samurai armor, a complete etched suit of roman pretorean armor, and a collection of pieces that can be mixed and matched to create whatever the mind envisions. I noticed that there isn't a large selection of guantlets for instance. But I'm sure you get the idea. I also would like to try my hand at photo quality weapon reproduction. There are plenty of weapons of high quality out there but I would like to see what I and a partner could enter into the arena so to speak. :)
