Hallo i have one big hairy question When I import my pzr3 files in vue 4.01 everything work very fine. But only transmapped hairs. Kyoko mk2 for example -there is no transparency-if I set trans in material editor --I have ugly holes in the hair from some perspektives . In my older bryce 4, I know the settings, let it lock like in poser.(if someone want to know?) Here I search and cant find the answer .It is a little thing but a big problem make the differnce between the use of the good and much more faster vuerenderer. thank you SUN

Could you show us a picture, SUN? Do you have the transparency in Vue set to 100%? Also, you might want to upgrade to the latest patch, which is 4.02b which you can get from the e-on website.

If you set the transparency level in Poser to maximum and minimum both at 100% they will import properly. If you did not do that, find the hair materials in Display>Display material summary, find the transparency map among them and double click on it to open it in the material editor. You will find that the transparency level is at 50% or less. Raise it to 100% and it will be fine. sig6.gif

Is your problem looks like that ?

Thank you for friendly and very prompt answering. I think I understand the problem.Let me tell you. I download the update. It should fix a lot of problems, even the bum material problem-but some promises like this, look like a little lie. But ok this is easy to manage by handmade edit of bumps. I set the transparency to 100%- and it works fine. Now the hair looks great again. I try it before and it doent work so I ask myself why. But there is I think it is a programm bug-a bug made this problem. If I choose any other controller or setting in the transedit-I see it in the preview and take it back-go out with only set trans = 100% --Then the strange effect is there. illogical but a fact. But to touch nothing else than take tran. to 100,let it work fine-so it is ok. Anyway I will try to upload a picture with the problem The other and quicker idea to set it into poser to 100/100 trans. looks like a quicker solution. Thank you carol for this good idea.
