I'm wondering what you people do to make money with poser besides posting things in the on-line stores do any of you out there really have day jobs that use poser?

I do character renders for roleplayers. It's not something to retire on but it does give me spending money (which I end up spending on Poser stuff)... so it's kind of a hobby that pays for itself!

I'm a freelance graphic artist. One of my current projects is creating people doing various signing. (Like sign language). On this project alone I'm making about $1000 a month and it is only using Poser and Photoshop. I've also made additional money over the years with Poser, on average about $400 a month. So, yes it is very possible for an artist to make money using Poser as one of your tools.

Animation work here. I find Poser is giving me a distinct style that I probably wouldnt have in any other package.

I'm doing more and more poser work for $$$. I created a training video with Poser characters. The clients loved it. It took me 200 hours to create and I made $2500. I think PhilC will tell you you make more money unstopping toilets but you keep your finger nails clean :) doing Poser.

The reason i asked is because i see alot of people spending alot of time making art here. Most of the stuff ends up as past post. I would like to see a new era of either graphic/advertising or gaming graphics come from the people that spend hours creating wonderful artwork. I bet if just a handful of people put their talents together from all the posting public they could create something earthshaking...

I do advertising....In my day job...actually, like my night job, I own my day job...but, at night, I work on my modelling skills. However, you are mentioning collaboration. I am collaborating, right now, with "real world", traditional artists...we combine skills, and fight for bids. Anton and Dmentia are a great example of collaboration, in the Poser marketplace. One models, the other does awesome textures. Steve and Renapd from Poserworld, are, yet, another. Then, there was Sergemarck, and Gloria Gast, from Poserfashion. YOu are right...That's where it's at!!! Pop..Pop...Poppi!!!
