Did you save it as a DOS-text document? I dont know anything about PPP, but it seems to me you saved it in wordpad format instead of plain text.

I saved the file in plain text format, word pad gives 3 formats: word document, RTF and text document. which format is right and what should I do after I save it.

Save it as a text document, then rename the *.txt to *.cr again. Change the name of the file, though, NEVER overwrite the original unless you are absolutely sure your modifications work....

thanks MaxxArcher, I found a solution, I opened the file in MS word (format: all files) then I modified the file and save, word ask me if I want to save in another format, I just canceled and then save. ofcourse the file is duplicated. thanks a lot MaxxArcher

Attached Link: http://www.notetab.com/

If you plan on doing any serious editing of large text documents, I highly recommend NoteTab and NoteTab pro they have a LOT more features than either notepad or wordpad, and they are exclusively for plain text editing. NoteTab Lite is a completely FREE download, and it will probably do everything you need to do. See the above link.
