I've just started working with DAZ3D's nude muscle man, and I cannot get rid of the shine on his body. I have turned the reflection down to zero, but he is still very shiny. Can anyone help me? Also if you know of any free textures for him or remaps, I'd be grateful! Thanks!

Open the materials editor, make sure you've got "skin" selected in the material drop down menu in the upper right. Change the highlight color--it's the second from the left--to black. That'll make the figure's skin non-reflective. For a natural, subtle sheen, make the color a dark grey. Basically, the lighter you go, the shinier the figure skin will render.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question! Your solution worked great! They ought to get someone like you to write the poser user guide. I find their explanations really vague. Thanks again!

You can also use colors for the highlight color to give more depth to the figure, i.e., yellow or orange, or gold or brown over your basic flesh tone. This gives a color sheen that makes the skin look more natural. Also, adjust the highlight size slider higher. This makes the highlights less "plastic." Experiment -- you can get some really great effects!
