Subject: Problems Editing the Cr2

Ok, I tried making a new figure using pdblack's method of renaming the pz3 file to a cr2 file and then editing the cr2 with the CR2 editor on the free stuff pages. Problem is when I opened the newly created cr2, I caught the dreaded 'C' exception, which probably means I edited too much. SO, here is my question, are there items in the cr2 that I have to make sure I do not delete? Do I need to keep all the figure and body lines? Can I delete body parts, or do I have to keep them all and just make them invisible? Thank you for any helpful suggestions in advance.

I edit charaters in the cr2 editor and i remove legs arms and other body parts without a problem but every once and a while i run into the 'c' exeception error. I have found the rebooting after that error and running norton crash guard help cut down on the errors.

You should make certain that you remove all the links to the body part you are removing. Also, if you remove a body part you need o remove all the dependancies, so if you remove the arm you need to get the fingers, etc. The body parts are all listed in at least three places in the file, plus the relative references.

It could also be something as simple as removing one too many parenthesis. They define blocks. I think Compose in funstuff will delete things more easily than a text editor.

Compose doesn't edit CR2 files, you're thinking of CR2editor.
