I've just played with this thing so far but am TOTALLY IMPRESSED. It does fog, smoke, smog, haze, volumetric lighting, and he tells me it will soon do rain and SNOW. The image is a quick test render and doesn't really do it justice. What's that? No he's not paying me a thing to plug this thing...it's just really neat!Traveler posted Mon, 12 November 2001 at 5:45 PM

Will it work on a Mac?
PabloS posted Mon, 12 November 2001 at 11:13 PM
Don, I just pulled up the docs. Should work on MAC if you use the converter on 'em: "The figures were designed on Windows, MAC uses will need to convert them to MAC format."

Thanks for the plug PabloS. Just so y'all know I just put up 2 sets of Atmospheric Maps. Rain and Snow. I don't think I has ever rained inside Poser before! This rain stuff was PabloS' idea. He suggested a Trans Map could be used on the fog to produce the rain effect. I think it works pretty well! I just bought the tool, this is cool nerd. I used to have to do fog the old way. make a plane then texture it, then put a trans map on it. thanks for the help.

This totally rocks, I needed animated fog in a scene I'm working on and now I dont how to screw with it in post!! Perfect timing. How much info comes with it? Otherwords will I have to mess with it for hours to get results like those picts. WOW!!!
thgeisel posted Tue, 13 November 2001 at 11:30 AM
my pic was done in 15 min. There are only some dials to control the fogsettings and some transmaps. there are 3 presets available on his side , where you can see, how its done. I did the light with the lightcone ,was available here in the marketplace ,think jestercgi did it

I believe Nerd mentioned to me that he'll be putting together some MATs. That should make it much easier to set up and get the effect you want.
